[edit] Linking Policy
DocForge makes an explicit effort to only link to quality content. Basically, add links to informative on-topic content and there shouldn't be a problem. The following types of links are absolutely not permitted in any basic page content:
- Affiliate links
- Referral links (i.e. links containing IDs for tracking an individual's referrals)
- Links to doorway pages
- Links to advertising-only pages.
- Links to spam pages or sites (e.g. sites banned from the Google index); if you're concerned a site may be spam, it probably is so don't link to it.
- Links to adult-only content, including gambling
From your User page you may link to any sites (personal, friends, etc.) regardless of topic, but the above rules still apply.
Administrators may add affiliate, referral, or advertising links to sidebar navigation.
External links may only be entered by humans. Any 3rd party bot attempting to add external links is automatically considered a spammer. reCAPTCHA is used to help prevent link spam.
